I’m not Asian but this seriously sounds like my mum, to a tee.
“Mum, I got the high score on the first test in the math class!” (This is college algebra by the way).
“Oh baby that’s great! What was your score?”
“Oh, a 92. I forgot a few things.”
“An A minus? That’s it?” She’s giving me the death stare.
“Mum, more than half the class got a D.”
She’s still giving me the death stare, “Why didn’t you get a hundred?”
I get really pissed, “I’m not perfect and I hate math.”
Then I walk away and it repeats when I come home with an A minus on my first psychology exam. IT’S NEVER ENOUGH.
